TrucBrush & Trailer Clearing

TrucBrush is an innovative and flexible tool for clearing the snow off of the tops of trailers. That’s something a lot of people don’t think about too often….or at least until they are driving down the highway behind a semi doing 60mph with a pile of snow on the top of it that starts to come loose when it hits a bump. It’s scary and it can be deadly. Hence why the longer time goes on, the more carriers are refusing to take loads that have snow on them — they are liable for the snow that is on them.

TrucBrush is a more cost effective and functional tool for removing the snow from trailer tops than the traditional stationary units you often see parked out in the back 40 of a dock area hardly, if ever, getting used. It easily adjusts to various sized trailers and can be easily moved to multiple areas of a facility.

Aside from carrier liablility, another reason for getting snow off of trailer tops is to stop the constant thaw/refreeze cycle that occurs after a snowfall — especially in heated warehouses. The snow sits on the trailer, thaws from the heat, and hits the ground and freezes continuously, often for days. This creates a hazardous situation for spotters and drivers trying to hook up to trailers. We often use TrucBrush in combination with plowing and salting the areas under the trailers that cannot be plowed, as seen in the video below. This operation makes for a very safe dock area — both for carriers and for dock workers.
